Checking IDs - legalities and ethics

Hello Perth Tessitura Community,

Could somebody please help me to understand the legalities with checking and storing IDs?

West Australian Opera is organising a series of events for audiences 18 to 30 so I need to know if ticket buyers fit in the age bracket.

It seems that the most efficient way is to ask on the event series webpage to upload a photo of the ID card (this would also act as a deterrent for people not in the age bracket), then to store the ID card somewhere safe, meaning that they only need to provide the ID card once if they attend multiple events.

Is it safe and legal to store IDs on Tessitura or our server? Are there any legal implication or rules I am not aware of?

If so, do you have other ideas/examples on how this could be done?

The Tessitura Community has embraced the Open Space Discussions format at our global and regional conferences (TLCC, TEC and ANZTRUC) and at Regional Tessitura User Group Meetings. These events have presented wonderful opportunities for people to engage in discussions about topics that are important to them - to find others with the same concerns and share solutions.

The Tessitura Network is hosting two Virtual Open Space Discussion events on June 18th and 19th. You are welcome to participate in either (or both!).

The first event is timed to invite participation from the Western part of North America, New Zealand and Australia.

CSI Notes section

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a new CSI that flows through from a question box on our website. I've set up the CSI elements but it is not pulling through onto the constituent record. Does anyone regularly build new CSI's that may be able to help me figure out what part I'm missing? Thanks!

Amanda Leigh The most common issue with CSIs not pulling through to a constituent record is the set up / association of the CSI's Activity Category, Type and Origin. Origins are optional but once associated with an Activity Type, Origin becomes a required field in CSIs with that Activity Type. More details here: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System/Content/CSIs/Customer%20Service%20Issues.htm. The best way to test that your set up works is to add a new CSI through the Tessitura client using the required Contact Method, Activity Category, Activity Type and Origin. If you are able to successfully add a CSI through Tessitura with the required set up then it should also work from the web.

Assuming that you are setting this up in TNEW, CSI details in the LTR_TNEW_CUSTOM_FORM_SAVE_DATA system table also need to match up with the above mentioned CSI set up. More details here: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/TNEW_7/TNEW.htm#Topics/LTR_TNEW_CUSTOM_FORM_SAVE_DATA.htm.
