FAQ How do I tag another member or group to join in a conversation?

Tagging is a way to draw someone's attention to a post or link directly to other content in the community. You can tag members, groups, and other content all from the same place — just type @ anywhere in a post or reply and a dropdown will appear.

How to tag

  1. Start typing your post or reply in the text editor.
  2. Type @ followed by the name of the person, group, or content you want to tag.
  3. A dropdown will appear with matching suggestions organised into tabs.
  4. Select the result you want from the list.

What you can tag

The dropdown is organised into five tabs:

  • In this thread — members who have already participated in the current discussion. The quickest way to tag someone you are replying to directly.
  • Other members — search for any member across the community by name. The tagged member will receive a notification that they have been mentioned.
  • Other content — link to another discussion, idea, event, or piece of content elsewhere in the community.
  • Applications — tag a specific area or application within the platform.
  • Groups — link to a community group, useful when you want to direct someone to a relevant group as part of your reply.

Tip: Tagging a member is a great way to bring someone into a conversation who has relevant experience — for example, tagging a colleague who works in the same product area, or someone who answered a related question in another thread.
